About Bow Mar

Bordered by Denver on the north and Littleton on the east, Bow Mar is close to the big city but maintains a strong sense of community more akin to rural living. It is one of the smallest incorporated cities in the Denver metro area, home to less than 900 residents. There are just over 300 single-family homes on acre-sized lots, many with spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains. The homes originally echoed Frank Lloyd Wright’s prairie-style architecture, placed on wide streets and limited to no more than one story tall, although today many homes in Bow Mar are being updated or replaced with new construction. Since its incorporation in 1958, Bow Mar has grown into a popular club-like community with an air of exclusivity. Local amenities include the private Bow Mar Lake, where residents sail at the yacht club and swim off the sand beach. There is also a dedicated bird sanctuary, tennis courts, sports facility, and walking trails all for the enjoyment of Bow Mar’s residents.
